School Carnival

I've been hearing about the legendary carnivals Aidan's school puts on, and we got to experience it first hand last month. Let me tell you, there were games and more games and even more games. For the first hour, I volunteered in Aidan's classroom with one of those crazy man games....the one where you swing a sledgehammer and try to hit the thing up to ring the bell. After about 15 minutes, my head was pounding and I was feeling mighty edgy. After an hour, my hands were shaky and if I had to hear another pre-pubescent boy trying to show how strong and manly he was, I was going to run screaming down the hall. I think Bob called it shell shock...it was just annoying. After that, we headed to the cafeteria for some $5 hot dogs and hamburgers (we kept reminding ourselves that it was all for a good cause!) With our bellies full, the kids played a few more games, bounced on the mega indoor inflatable bouncers and collected our prizes. It was great! All the moms and volunteers involved do a great job.
