Happy Graduation Mia!

Mia's preschool's spring program and graduation had a western theme this year. It cracks us up every year because as outgoing and confident as Mia can be, she HATES to perform in front of a big audience. I can almost see her shrinking right in front of us...it's really hard for her.

These are her two teachers, who have been wonderful. Mia has really blossomed the last two years, and I give them so much credit for preparing her for Kindergarten this fall.

Yep, that's a full on cap and gown. They really are the cutest things ever, no matter how silly it is to see a bunch of preschoolers all decked out for graduation!

Zoo Field Trip

A few weeks before the end of the school year, we went along with Aidan's first grade class on their field trip to the KC Zoo. Every year this place gets better. This summer we will have our very own polar bears!

Here we are taking a peak at the new exhibit...

Kellan & Aidan

The kids even had an assignment. The boys took it VERY seriously.

Aidan took these shots of the hippos out of the water, which is a rare treat. He even stumped all the adults with some random hippo trivia.

The monkey exhibit...

More Deanna Rose...

At the chicken coop with Owen...

I think this is the first time we ever sat through the whole movie in the dairy barn...this was a rare moment when everyone was sitting down...

These little friends have so much fun together...here's to many more years hanging out at the Farmstead!

Her Own Drum...

We've known for a long time that Mia marches to the beat of her own drum. Put her in any situation, and she'll find the Mia-way of doing it...on this day, the boys were tearing down the sidewalk on their bikes, and Mia is stopping and smelling the flowers.

I watched her from the window for a while and I could see that she was carrying on an entire conversation with that flower...
