olivia's birthday decree

in honor of all those getting older, in memory of our youth and the firmer thighs of yesteryear, i decree on this eleventh day of november that there shall be eating. there shall be frivolity and merrymaking with friends and family. there will be no washing of dishes, no vacuuming of floors and no laundering of clothing! children shall not soil their nappies, nor fight amongst themselves. husbands shall wash said dishes, vacuum said floors, and launder said clothing. if the birthday beneficiary so chooses, the birthday shall extend a full week (or until my friends and family get sick of it).

the old 34 is good so far...i got mexican for lunch with friends, pan-pacific (what the heck is that?) for dinner with family and frozen custard for dessert with part of my old culver's crew (jenny was the only one who could make it at 9pm on a tuesday). it was fun, and needless to say, FILLING. thanks to my buds for setting up the festivities, lunch and the thoughtful gifts! and thanks to my family for always making time for birthdays. in the spirit of the birthday decree, i still have a family sunday birthday party to look forward to in about a week and a half!
